I've been addicted to a few things in my life. I have come out on the other side and realized how I looked to myself now that I have a clear mind. It disgusts me to think of the time I wasted in my precious life I'm living. I've been addicted to money, sex, and drugs. Have you ever seen someone addicted to something? Have you ever been addicted to something or someone. Your identity is wrapped up in them. You become known by what you consume. You lose your identity and become something or someone else. You give your power you havev over your life away to something or someone that doesn't deserve it. NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS WORTH WHO YOU ARE EXCEPT GOD. Matthew 16:26 says "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" So that's obviously a rhetorical question because the answer is nothing! Nothing is worth your soul so why get into and stay in a position that has not benefit to our well being as an individual. I'm proud to say that I have one final addiction... God. I'm addicted to God and I realize He is the only part of life we should allow ourselves to be addicted to. I've seen and lived through the other addictions and they've not anywhere near as satisfying as my addiction is to my Creator.
